Safety Protocol at Roscoe Village Animal Hospital during COVID-19

Effective immediately, in an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community, Roscoe Village Animal Hospital will be actively applying the practice of “social distancing”.

To this end, our office has instituted the specific changes described in detail below. To the extent that it is feasible, we have enacted a system of curbside check-in to minimize congregating in our waiting room and exam rooms. Please call our office (773-549-3131) from outside when you arrive to be checked in.

1) PICKING UP MEDICATIONS/FOOD – Call ahead to order. Someone from our office will gladly bring it to your car and can take payment over the phone or will assist in the transaction.

2) BRINGING YOUR PET FOR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT – when possible, we will see the pet without the owner present. We understand that this is not always going to be feasible due to complicated cases and/or anxious pets. However, this can certainly help in the effort to prevent spreading the disease. (If you need to be present with your pet, please limit one person coming into the hospital.)

Here is what you can expect.We ask that you call the hospital when you arrive. An assistant will take a history over the phone. Next, a staff member will meet you at your car and bring your pet inside. The veterinarian will examine your pet and provide the services needed, and give you a full report over the phone. At that time, we can assist you with curbside payment or process payment over the phone. We will bring your pet back out to your car

If you have any potential exposure to COVID-19, coughing, fever, etc… do not come to our office, have someone else bring your pet in. We understand these are stressful/difficult times for all and are striving to provide the same level of service while protecting our clients, staff members, and their families.

We will be utilizing every effort to continue staying open to safely service your beloved pet(s). Our staff will be wearing gloves and masks, when appropriate, and we are following the health and hygiene guidance from the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and making every effort to keep the hospital disinfected.
